Review: When It Rains by Brooke Harris My rating: 5 of 5 stars

When It Rains by Brooke Harris
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My heart hurts and tears still fill my eyes and my chest feels a little constricted -You know that empty pain that fills your chest and stops your breath after a truly emotional experience - that's me right now.
When it Rains is a beautiful and poignant story about life - love - and finding happiness in the little things, and making every minute count - especially when the next is not a guarantee.
Be prepared as this is a very emotional story -
Many like myself will have experienced these same journeys within our lives - and look fondly back on the memories.
Thank you for reminding me that even though our time together was short we were blessed <3
I received a complimentary advanced readers copy of this book - I purchased the book after finishing it.
I was going to edit this, as it was originally written on my Kindle right after I finished - I decided to leave it as it was -
This is a truly emotional yet uplifting story…

Review: ⚽ Challenge by Amy Daws My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Challenge by Amy Daws
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is one of those reads that when you turn the final page - it is with a sigh of contentment
The perfect weekend read!
Daws has brought to life a beautifully woven contemporary fantasy that will have you smiling, laughing and crying - oh and just so you know Cam has brothers ;) Yeah that made me smile too
Camden is football - it is not only his career it defines who he is - until it doesn't - What happens when you take an egotistical methodical footballer and begin changing the rules?
Indie is book smart, intelligent and well ahead of the other residents in her chosen career -she traded any chance of a real social life for her career -
She has a plan though - well she did have a plan -until Cam ended up in her capable hands.

Review: The Mercenary by Petra Landon My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Mercenary by Petra Landon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Landon has created a series that has exceeded all my expectations and has left me completely entranced and wanting more!
The world building is spectacular - The details she has woven into the book are out of this galaxy leaving the reader easily emerged in her universe
Her characters - are so animated - their energy and vitality literally spring from the pages
The story line is concrete and intricate - guaranteed to draw you in and keep you entertained
I absolutely craved the turn of each page - each new twist and discovery a consummate reflection of the strength in Landon's writing
Saakshi the main character for this story is strong and vivacious with a tenacity that rivals any warriors - soft of heart and strong of character
Zoran the leading male character is a Mercenary, battle hardened yet holds strong to the balance of honor and integrity amongst warriors resulting in the respect and trust of others in both high and low p…

Review: Beauty and the Beasts by Jess Bentley My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Beauty and the BeastsPackage Dealby Jess Bentley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
⇒Please Note Title Change⇐
Totally not what I expected - Bentley delivered so much more
Bella is a writer, not an actress - yet she has been assigned the task of "improving" Emmets image in order to salvage the merger -In exchange she gets to become the true writer she has always dreamed of instead of the fluff writer her best friend and boss Hannah has made her- at least that was the promise made to her when she accepted the assignment -
Turns out not everyone is whom she thought they were - leading to an amorous meeting and some humorous errs - nor are everyone's intentions as pure as she once believed
This is a beautiful MFM romance that will soften even the hardest of hearts
On a personal note, Dillion definitely has my heart <3

Review: Demon Child by Kat Cotton My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Demon Child by Kat Cotton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

An out of this world journey of fun and fantasy! A definite One Click
Clem - is the quintessential demon hunter with just a touch of kick @ss and a dash of quirk - absolutely love her character!
Nic is a self-absorbed narcissist that had me constantly on the fence between loving and hating him
Kisho - again love and hate relationship - he would flip rolls between subservient and dominant - he made me feel lust, love, and the need to knock some sense into him
This was a slow to burn book - Cotton built an excellent world with just enough background and detail to leave me wanting more but still feeling fulfilled
Entertaining and action packed with so many hidden gems within the pages
The twists that are unveiled are absolutely mind bending and so left field - and I am pretty creative

Review:Pretty Reckless by Jane Anthony My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Pretty Reckless by Jane Anthony
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Two Souls -Two Addicts - One Truth
Can he be Kat's salvation or will he become another addiction?

Kat is drowning - slowly being sucked into a whirlpool of her own creation
Chase is rebuilding - each day he adds one more stone to the path that will lead him from the darkness

Kat is a handful from the opening scene to the final page - she will have you laughing, crying and wanting to breach the pages just to let her know you are there for her.
I liked how Anthony portrayed Kat - When Kat's world does finally collapse she finds the strength to save herself  - she knows it has to be for her - by her.
Chase for me is the quintessential boyfriend - He has been where Kat is so he understands the addiction, the need to drown the pain - he himself has past demons- many of which are reflected in Kat's situation. He definitely does not need Kat and her implosion in his world right now but he is drawn to her in a way that leav…

Review: When We Swing- An Erotic Thriller by Kyla Ross My rating: 5 of 5 stars

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ When We Swing- An Erotic Thriller by Kyla Ross
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Holy Chit!! I couldn't put it down -
An absolutely riveting spine tingling thriller -
Ross threw out one twisted turn after another!
You thought you knew what was happening -
You were so sure of what direction this was going -
Heck, you may even have thought to stop reading in the beginning because " this isn't the way it works" - it's okay I'll admit I  hesitated a couple times in the beginning -
but that is the beauty of a good thriller -
It should question your instincts - raise those little hairs on your arms - have you screaming in your mind "This is not the way it works" -
Three married couples looking for a way to salvage what they once had - a beautiful story about forgiveness and reconciliation -Or not

Looking for a book that will send you spiraling into the darkest most depraved thoughts and actions of the human psyche -
look no further -

Not for the faint of hear…

Review: πŸ’”πŸ’”πŸ’”Savior by S.L. Scott My rating: 5 of 5 starsπŸ’”πŸ’”

If you have not read Savage book one already- you will want to - Savior is not a standalone novel - Savior picks up right where Savage left off -

Warning this story can cause: "ugly" crying - sudden urges to throw inanimate items - the unintended flexing of facial muscles, both upward and downward, creasing of the forehead. inability to breathe and phantom heart ache -Proceed with caution

Once again Scott brings us to the edge of our sanity with Alexander and Sarah Jane's story -This time Alexander and Sara have paid the ultimate price for their love- the blood of their blood- and the abhorrent acts of others will definitely test the strength of their bonds -

I didn't know whom to trust - I didn't know what to believe - every time I felt like they were finally getting the chance they deserved something or someone came from nowhere and ripped the fabric of my beliefs out from under me - Who is the Savior and Who is the Savage?

I was on edge and pleading - for …

Review: Winning Ace: A Winning Ace Novel by Tracie Delaney My rating: 4 of 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Winning Ace: A Winning Ace Novel by Tracie Delaney
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Tally's dream is to be a big time reporter - tired of all the small time fluff stories when she is finally given the opportunity to grab the brass ring she takes it - but will it cost her her morals as well as her future?
Cash has it all - Stardom, Athleticism, Money - but he has a secret -a dark secret that could rip apart his perfect little corner of the world
This was an intensely emotional story that engages not only the mind but the heart -
One of those stories you can't put down - each chapter drags you further into the chaos and turmoil
- a twisted journey of deception, friendship, manipulation, love, exploitation
The ball is in your court now -
Readers beware - it ends on a cliff hanger!

Review: Ivar's Prize by Amy Pennza My rating: 4 of 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐

World building - five star - I found Pennza's descriptions and attention to details exemplary
Plot - five star - Ivar is packed with Intrigue, corruption, self-discovery, and romance all woven together with strong beautifully crafted undertones that will keep the reader engaged page after page
Character development - would go with ten stars if I could - Ivar and Nadia were a flawless match - both strong leads with strong personalities
Romance - again ten stars - the way they played off each other - the sparks of attraction circumscribed with the possibilities of betrayal - off the chart
This is one of the top ten Sci-Fi Romances I have read and I honestly hope there are more in this series -
I felt the book ended a little too abruptly and left me with a few questions - the plot twists and possibilities are interwoven within the story but the answers are not revealed - the reason for the four-star review - This does not state a series and I really was left needing -wanting more!

Review: Granting Her Wish by Erin R. Bedford My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Granting Her Wish by Erin R. Bedford
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Humor, Angst, a touch of "Oh No" and a dollop of the sweetest kind of love all stuffed in one little book
Everything you thought you knew with regards to the genie in the lamp - toss it out
Bedford has put a fun and magical spin on an old fairy tale
Alysha is buried under what feels like an insurmountable pile of bills, demands, homework and life in general
She happens upon a bottle - how she gets it is humorous in itself - and is gifted with Mac
Knowing nothing comes for free in life Alshya is a little hesitant about being granted three wishes -
Mac has dealt with masters for over a century - he just wants to get this over with and hopefully, break his curse
Two stubborn souls are about to find out how costly a wish can be -
Will Alysha's dreams come true or will it cost her something even more dear to her? Will Mac break the curse or will his impatience and intolerance once again land him trapped within the …

Review: Force by M. Malone My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Force by M. Malone
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Force together two quick to ignite characters - Jessica and Jonas
Placing them in an interactive living situation that requires almost constant interplay and engagement
add some banter meshed with good old fashioned tongue lashings intertwined with a little (okay a lot) of sexual tension
and what do you get?
An explosive emotionally engaging and suspenseful romantic read that will leave you emotionally breathless and wanting more more more!
Be aware that this tied into another series - It can be read as a stand alone series though I would suggest reading the Shameless series as it is an excellent series- lack of reading it will not reduce the apex of Force.
I received advanced readers copy for review consideration.

Review: The Devil has a British Accent by Z.N. Willett My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Devil has a British Accent by Z.N. Willett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Strong storyline, incredible world building

The first few chapters contain a lot of character building as well as setting up the tone for the story
I will warn pay attention to the little things in the first couple chapters - because later in the story you will wish you had! That is the only spoiler I am giving - because once we "think we knew who is who and what is going on-
Willett lets go and I have to say -
Lock your seatbelts and place your trays in the upright position - you are in for some turbulence
I never saw most of the twists coming and even now I am not sure in which direction the story or even Lauren is going to go -
I honestly can't blame her - I have trouble choosing between the two lead males myself - excellent lead characters!
I am eagerly awaiting the next book!

Review: The Virgin and the Beast by Stasia Black My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Virgin and the Beast by Stasia Black
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Holy Chit - this is one of those Dark retellings that will leave you defenseless and completely engaged well beyond the last page
It is hard to write without giving spoilers because even the slightest word can give this whole story away - with saying that I definitely recommend for lovers of a dark read - it's not pitch dark but it comes close in some scenes
If you are the least bit squeamish or are hesitant when it comes to dark subject matter than this is not the book for you!
If you are looking for a dark erotic read that touches the taboo both psychologically and physically -then this is definitely for you!
It took me a few chapters to let go and enjoy this story - yeah I will admit Xavier has me a little on the fence still not sure how I feel about him, you will get it when you read the story - the guy needs a breeding mare.
Melanie - let's just say that girl was just in a bad position all around - I am goin…

Review: Trashy Foreplay by Gemma James My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Trashy Foreplay by Gemma James
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I am going to put it right out there -
This story shredded my heart!
LIfe is more than just the black and white lines that we try to stay inside of -in everything we do there are lighter shades of gray that lie unseen or unspoken - these areas are what cause us the most pain and angst because we are human and are prone to lead with our hearts and not our heads
Summary:
it ends on a cliff hanger -
everyone's cheating
Jules and Cash are gifted with true love, the kind you get one shot at - yet it is forbidden to them both
Cash's wife is a shrew
Jules ex is a lazy soul sucker
Both are denying their own feelings and happiness to do what is right
it is told in alternating POV's
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book.
Do not skip this story because of a red check mark next to cheating, yes it contains the scenario but within a specific context

Review: Selenium Night by Kharma Kelley My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Selenium Night by Kharma Kelley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a well rounded paranormal read
The perfect combination I look for when reading-
-Great characters, strong story line, action, suspense, angst, humor - romance - A well rounded paranormal read that will definitely keep you engaged
-Maddie has her big girl panties on but still can accept assistance with grace and humor- I really liked Maddie she has had a rough past but has gotten back up and is taking control of her life - She has a propensity to use her snarky attitude as a shield when things get a little close to the emotional side for her -
-Aidan is the packs Alpha yet he still seems to have to prove, not only to himself but to the elders, that he has control of his wolf and he can lead the pack without letting his emotions control his choices - not always an easy decision for anyone but for a werewolf who has the background Aidan does - it is twice as hard -
-Our antagonist and we have a few - Some are plain as day…

Review: Forbidden Bonds by Lexi C. Foss My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Forbidden Bonds by Lexi C. Foss
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

πŸŽ†πŸŽ†It just keeps getting better!πŸŽ†πŸŽ†
In Blood Laws (book one) Foss introduced us to a world of paranormal intrigue and suspense that would satisfy even the most fastidious of readers
With book 2 she has gone one step further - Intrigue - subterfuge - suspense - kick @ss heroines - sarcasm -romance - this series has it all and so much more.
It turns out the enemy may possibly be our friend and our friend may possibly be our enemy- or we quite possibly may be being played on all sides - I am not telling -Nice try though
So many secrets are revealed and old questions answered - though with each new revelation comes more questions
Foss takes us further into the world of the Hydrians and their ways. We even get to go to the island - meet the elders - and that cliff hanger in book 1 - yeah we get answers and so much more than we bargained for!
Definitely, recommend this series if you are a fan of the DH or the Brotherhood or even the Lord…
