Fix Me Not by Carey Heywood

Sassy Smart and Sexy -A delightful captivating story that will melt your heart and warm your soul -
I want a Thompson of my own!
This is Asher's story and it is as good as if not better than Noah's (Fix Her Up) I love the raw emotion Heywood brings out in her characters and the realism of the trials and the triumphs that her characters face - I honestly could not ask for more from an author when seeking a good contemporary romance - except directions to find my own Thompson brother
Paige built her life in NewYork - she loved the lights the glitz and the glamour she was a rising star until a storm forced her to take shelter back home with her mother in a small quaint New Hampshire town - This was definitely not in her life plan -now she will do whatever it takes to restart her life and get back on top -
Asher has a…

๐Ÿ‘€ Review: Bear Moon by Hattie Hunt My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Bear Moon by Hattie Hunt
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

As a child, Ripley's father chose not to train her to accept the Padfoot- believing that it would never choose a female - Turned out dad was wrong - To prevent herself from harming those she loved Ripley ran - Now she has been called home to attend her Uncle's pyre - to her dismay, it turns out that is not the only fire Ripley has to tend to - A lot has changed within her small town - One that is seriously divided in its beliefs -can Ripley bring them together long enough to save Joes brother or will she once again only be the harbinger of death?

This is a wonderful expansion of the Whiskey Witches!
This is one of those reads where you easily get pulled in - each character leaves a definitive mark on you-you either want to hug them or knock some sense into them or possibly a little of both
I look forward to more in this series

Born, Darkly by Trisha Wolfe
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Clarrisa meets Dexter - A Psychological Thriller

This is a tale of a Vigilante and a Dr. -
One rights the wrongs- passing sentence and judgment upon the tainted- giving the victims of a failed judicial system Justice
One studies the tainted, attempts to dig out their darkness exposing it to the light, helping them grow -rehabilitating them -giving them a second chance at life -

Both are justified in their actions- Ultimately they both achieve the same end results- but only one can see the truth -only one accepts it is their own darkness they feed.

What happens when these two come together both in the belief the other is misguided?
Both believing the other needs "rehabilitation"? Who is truly correct and who is truly corrupt?
A beautifully choreographed dance of macabre steps that will lead to the ultimate reveal

Review: ๐Ÿ“š Alpha's Claim Series by Addison Cain

Born to be Bound by Addison Cain
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Do not pass this one up!

Total mind f#@& - that is the first thought that comes to me that can even remotely describe this journey!
It started slow, heck I wasn't even sure I wanted to go past the first chapter -then suddenly I was in the story.
You know, when you find yourself arching your brow, or nodding your head not even realizing you are subtly acting out the scene.
... Nothing could have prepared me for what was to come.
So many twists and questions and hidden plots and heck I don't even know which way is up anymore.
I got to go .. Book 2 is calling for me

Born to be Broken by Addison Cain
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is book two in the Alpha's Claim series and it picks up right where Born to Be Bound lets off - This is not a stand-alone
Addison Cain manages to take something so dark and twisted and recreates it into possibilities that are breathtakingly beautiful - leaving even me to question who is good an…

Pitch Dark by A.M. Wilson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Murder - Mystery - Madness -Mayhem -MMMMMMMM Yes Please!
A Suspense thriller that will take you into the darkest recesses of the depraved
- It is intense -
Aislin disappeared - they claim she ran away Niko new his North Star would never leave without telling him -
Move forward in time 15 years- Nikko is a detective his life mission is to find Aislin - he is consumed by it - he knows she is out there and he knows she did not just run away she would not do that and he intends to prove it
This story alternates between time periods and character POV's - Main focus is the character Niko - the story does lull at times and I felt certain scenes tended to be rushed and details were missing
A definite must-read for those who favor the darker thrillers

⚽ KEEPER by Amy Daws
My heart actually broke a little for Booker - of the Harris brothers, for me anyway, he seemed to be the most sensitive of the brood
Poppy was his world growing up - his life line, she kept him grounded- He never ever wanted to do anything to risk losing her like he had lost everyone else in his life - But he did - like everyone else -
She went away -
Harris' heart shattered and he lost himself in football and the rules he created to make sure he was never betrayed again
But he missed Poppy - so when the opportunity was presented to bring his best friend back into his world - he grabbed it - without thinking - without hesitation- he had his best friend back
The question now is can he keep Poppy in his life or will his own new desires drive her away?
This is such a heartfelt friends to lovers story -
Another perfect point to the Harris Brothers Series

Review: ๐Ÿ’ฎ Forget Me Not by Willow Winters

Forget Me Not by Willow Winters

A heart breaking story of what happens after -
After you are free- after the horrors are supposed to have faded -
When you finally wake up from your haze only to realize what you tried so hard to forget is truly unforgettable - possibly even unforgivable.
This is one of those stories that reveals its secrets as you read -you know what is going on - you can feel it, sense it - it's there in the back of your mind screaming at you to acknowledge it -
This is a  suspenseful psychological romance that follows the book "Something to Remember" - a copy of this book is included at the end of Forget Me Not -which prequels this story.
I received advanced readers copy for review consideration.

Review: ๐Ÿˆ Lucky Number Eleven by Adriana Locke My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Lucky Number Eleven by Adriana Locke
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Perfect weekend read
Locke tears down the traditional bad boy and rebuilds him - making him even more enchanting
Branch is a star - and like most stars, his every whim is catered to, his every need is met- but unlike most stars, he is quite aware of the life he leads and the negative impacts it would have on a family - so he does the right thing - He lives his life by three easy rules:
One night only- No Strings - No Problems - Easy right?
It was -until Layla
Layla's life has always run congruent with the sports world - her brother lives in that world and all her failed relationships have always been with a man who stars in that world -
Until Branch - presented with the perfect weekend, the perfect opportunity - no emotions, no strings and no attachments - Easy right?
Should have been a simple play - pass, receive, touchdown -Wait time out! Was that an intercept?
I loved the how the characters responded and interacted …

Review: A Girl Named Calamity by Danielle Lori My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A Girl Named Calamity by Danielle Lori
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Do Not Pass This One Up - No Spoilers -This is one of those books that just drags you in and holds you under!
Calamity has truly lived her life sheltered from most of its harsher realities - this leaves her a bit naive - okay a lot naive - When she is suddenly thrust into the world she literally has very little chance of surviving on her own - she is also a little impulsive, and quite opinionated which seems to get her into a lot of trouble
Then there is Weston - Mysterious - Quiet - Dangerous -full of secrets - the oh so yummy good guy or is he the bad guy? The Jury is still out on him.
The undertones and chemistry between him and Calamity is off the charts -
There is so much going on I honestly do not know whom to trust or which direction to go
I do not want to write any spoilers - I can say that it was easy for me to get sweep away in this story and I loved every minute of it.
Danielle Lori built an amazing world - we …

Review: The Warrior’s Pet by Stephanie West My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Warrior’s Pet by Stephanie West
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A wonderful blend of fantasy and Sci-Fi
Came across this by complete accident and it was on sale at the time - I know why now - like a well-aged wine - just a taste has you wanting more!
Yes I am moving on to book 2 ๐Ÿ˜‰
The World building is absolutely five star - a world divided by civil war blinded to its own slow demise
The characters - a unique blend of personalities and traits that were woven together to create the perfect cast
From the opening scene to the Epilogue West will keep you engaged, laughing, oh hell no'ing ,
and tottering on the edge of your seat in eager anticipation of what is to come
Due to subject matter and a few graphic scenes, I would suggest mature readers
