One summer - One epic romance - One fatal night
Time has passed for both Opal and Santiago but when fate brings them together once again
Santiago needs answers and closure from the woman who broken his heart
Opal wants to remain in the dark.
Can a once forgotten love be restructured or is it best to leave the past just that - the past
I liked the premises for this storyline the idea of a forgotten love and a second chance
I enjoyed the characters Santiago had such a strong sense of family and love. Opal was happy living in the dark, at times I really really wanted to get into Opal's face and tell her to woman up, but honestly, how would I react to the loss? It kept me patient with her decisions at times even if I did not agree with them. I really liked the supporting cast. My understanding is they are the main characters in the previous books, though this is easily read as a standalone.
The story is all about second chances and facing the fears that hold us back. There are a lot of touching moments that had me blurry eyed and an also a few that had me smiling. The storyline read a bit choppy at times which made it hard for me to connect on the level I prefer, but that is me.
Overall it was a sweet romance
The copy I read was comp.
