What fun! This has been sitting on my TBR list for a while and today I needed something different - every book I started on just wasn't doing it for me- It only took one chapter before Nate had me laughing out loud and Allister had my heart
I love paranormal romances, add in the mm factor and hello happy reader!
Nate and Allister meet via a hookup app both looking to sate their physical hunger without complication and well Clutch is the result of that meet and grind😂
Seriously though, if you are looking for a light-hearted romance that has a bit of suspense, a bit of angst and a whole lot of steam - look no further
I want to note that this is a first in series, that being said it has a lot of secondary story lines and brief character introductions that are intended to introduce the reader to future episodes so when it seems like the fates are constantly kicking Nate and Allister when they are down - breathe knowing they get their HEA and there is a method to the madness.
So go on and get comfy, snuggle in and enjoy the journey 😍

💝 Grab the Ben and Jerry's, a glass of wine and a box of tissues and settle in for a sweet second chance romance
Neely has returned home for a breather while she gets her "life plan" back on track.
It's been a decade since she left home. She is no longer that wide-eyed broken-hearted teen and while everything had changed not a whole lot is truly different. That includes her first love, her first heartache her first - everything.
When Dane sees his childhood love he also sees a second chance - A chance to right the wrongs of a young man who did all the wrong things at all the right times leaving behind him a wake of damage he might finally get the chance to fix.
Dane and Neely were "the" high school couple the whole town believed bound for marriage and babies and a HEA - that was until Dane betrayed Neely. Over a decade has passed but for Neely, the pain is still fresh. Can she find it in her to forgive Danes transgressions? Can she walk away from a life she dreamed of?
This was such a fun second chance romance. Lots of laughter and small-town drama blended with just a touch of angst. #Tumble #Netgalley

Vicious Looks by Loki Renard
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Vicious and Kitty sitting in a tree
I'm torn - I need book two so I can figure out how I feel
I really like Kitty's spunk and the fact she didn't back down despite Vicious' cruel hand. She wants out, she is ready to start her life to live her dreams.
Vicious left me with all kinds of questions. It seems he has a lot more reasons than he is sharing for wanting Kitty close. We know he is a big wig but there is something else hidden that has yet to be revealed.
When Vicious sets his eyes on Kitty and decides to "recruit" her to his employment the seemingly sweet kitten suddenly develops some very sharp claws. With no intentions of giving up her freedom or her dreams, Kitty fights Vicious every step of the way. But can she fight the truth? Will her past, once revealed to her leave her broken?
So many questions! Oh and our secondary characters - I see a lot of chaos coming from those two

King's Men by Lana Sky
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This has more twists and "WTH just happened" turns than Lombard Street!
When I first started King's Men I was having a problem connecting with the cast and truly getting into the story line. Snow just rubbed me wrong and the story had me feeling a bit lost. I kept going though and by the third chapter, I was a touch more intrigued and curious - by the fourth I was hooked and there was no going back.
Yes I like to be grabbed from the opening not always a good thing I openly admit that
Blake is evil personified! I don't believe there is anything he could ever do to change that in my eyes. His driving need to destroy Snowy almost borders on insanity. For an anti-hero, he is above and beyond reproach he couldn't be more "anti" if he put actual effort into it - his character is that inherently twisted. His behavior had me ping-pongy constantly - like he is battling with himself as to how dark things can go and do not even get me started on all the questions his breadcrumb comments left me with.
Snow still had my hackles in a fit even as I read the closing scene. Someone (besides Blake) needs to knock some sense into that girl! I get she would do anything to not be destitute - I guess when you have nothing left to lose anything goes and I understood that. For me, it was more the fact she did not value herself. Though that was probably the point. *shrugs*
I have so many more questions than answers and am truly hoping book two has them. Though I am a bit scared if some of those answers are revealed to be what I believe they are.
Note this is a dark read - there is no romance

Hidden12, Intelligence Required by Gail Parker
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Intense - Entertaining - A must read series for those who enjoy Fantasy and SciFi
They were created to be the ultimate super weapons
They were forbidden to have relations
They failed to follow the rules
She is the result of that failure
What a fabulous read!
This starts out intense - something I look for in a solid read - as a reader you are a bit blind of the overall picture until about 30% into the book -Do not fret - It works in your favor because when the "Oh NO!" and "OMG" moments happen they are intense.
I do not want to give away any spoilers but I will say I recommend for just about any age (teen on up) who is looking for a storyline that has vivid characters, a complex but easy to follow story line that guarantees it's reader an entertaining edge of your seat journey filled with mystery, intrigue, and romance.

Ice by Stacy Gail
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Brings a whole new definition to the concept of "Fire and Ice"
Ice is primal when it comes to obtaining what he wants. I had a real problem with his attitude and lack of general civility in the beginning, actually most of the story. He was an overbearing self-centered sexy as all hell blonde, tone, tattoo covered, surfer boy and did I mention stubborn and determined? Oh and that Sunny Day is what he wants? The way he goes about "mending" past transgressions leaves a lot to be desired, I don't think he realizes how he once smothered Sunny's flame. Ice's heart has always been in the right place, he just allowed that primal part of his brain to make the decisions.
And just wait for the bomb that is the "why"! (no spoilers)
Sunny I truly felt sorry for. She has spent her whole life equating her value with her accomplishments and it has left her empty. Her inner monologues had me rolling - She really is smart and witty and somewhere in there is a sweet little girl who just wants to be loved. I can't fault Sunny in refusing Atticus advances then suddenly capitulating. They have known each other forever and her love for him has always been unrequited so when he bombards her, literally day in and day out, with the reality that she has always been it for him it is a bit hard not to taste the temptation even if she knows he may shatter her heart
Gail has yet to disappoint me with this series - The House of Payne series is one five stars read after another. Wonderful characters that touch the reader intimately. Story lines that engage and entertain and the perfect concoctions of angst, laughter, and romance.
I recommend this series to anyone who enjoys getting lost in their romance
