Review: A Soldier's Return by RaeAnne Thayne

A Soldier's Return by RaeAnne Thayne My rating: 3 of 5 stars Melissa had enough - enough traipsing across the country - enough of being second to the ocean. Deciding to restart her life Melissa returned home with her daughter. Life was once again looking up - yeah Cody was still an absentee father but that was okay Melissa was happy and Skye was thriving. Things were good - until a morning jog brings her past barreling into her - quite literally I might add. Melissa knows Eli won't be staying and she has been down this road before - She has no intentions of letting her heart be broken once again. Eli has always had eyes for Melissa but back then it was not meant to be and now that opportunity has presented once again - it can not be. The fact he will be her superior is only one of the many reasons. She has a daughter and he has a past. This is a sweet romance that occasionally tugs at the heartstrings Perfect for a winter indoors read - would go well with a...

Review: Navy SEAL to the Rescue by Tawny Weber

Navy SEAL to the Rescue by Tawny Weber My rating: 3 of 5 stars A little romance mixed with a touch of suspense Lila ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time - Travis is taking a break from reality, a little surf a little sand and did I mention a damsel in distress? Travis' military training kicks in and he decides to take control of the situation at the same time Lila's sense of "Oh no you didn't" rebels right back making for an explosive storyline that keeps the reader entertained I really enjoyed the chemistry between the two lead characters though I would have liked a more detailed closing - it did feel a bit rushed. The storyline flowed smoothly keeping me engaged from opening to closing scenes. Look forward to more from this author #NavySealToTheRescue #NetGalley View all my reviews

Review: The Sicilian's Bought Cinderella by Michelle Smart

The Sicilian's Bought Cinderella by Michelle Smart My rating: 3.7 of 5 stars The Sicilian's Bought Cinderella was a charming romance that is perfect for that afternoon getaway Dante and Aislin were well-crafted characters that easily captured my heart and the storyline was smooth and well crafted keeping the reader engaged and entertained from the opening scene (which had me snickering) to the closing HEA Dante was raised in a world where social status, real or perceived, was highly prized. He had first-hand experience with "love" and knew that he wanted no part of it. He found himself "needing" a fiance' for an upcoming event the same time he found a spitfire Irish goddess squatting on his land. Aislin. She has faced a lot of hurdles in her life and has learned to approach things with a gusto that made her character enjoyable and easy to connect with. Her wit was so much fun to read. Wait for the dinner party scene, couldn't help...
