I need to clarify that I came into this series at this point - meaning all these characters are new to me.
I read this as a standalone with no problem.
To be honest, IMO it is definitely worth going back to the beginning as it is truly an engaging cast of characters.
Ford and Sienna were easy to connect with.
The entire cast had a strong emotional appeal to them,
a sense of innocence or honesty? that made engaging with them on an emotional level seem effortless.
The world building was unique with some wonderful twists to standard PNR.
This is a young adult possibly more new adult paranormal romance.
A solid Young Adult read with just a touch of suspense and a dash of angst.
