I knew Adams would come at this series with a slightly different approach. From previous experiences with her work I was prepared for an emotionally charged journey, and WOW! did she ever deliver. Don't misunderstand, this has all the suspense, all the tension and plenty of the bloody bits that we expect from the assassins of the Cavalieri, but it also contains all the electrically charged emotions that you look for in a good romance.
From the first assignment, I was captivated.
Bors is a hands-on kind of man. He likes his kills close and personal and his toys shiny but not always sharp (a little more fun to play that way)
Ivy, what can I say about her - her journey is one that, for many, will hit close to the heart - just don't give up on her. Nothing is always as black and white as it seems.
The supporting cast is fantastic! A few of our favorites are still exchanging texts (and not always at the most appropriate of times) and some new ones are welcomed into the family.
I can't say much or I will spoil your journey.
I can say this is a bloody brutal romantic suspense that will take you from the edge of "Gawd NO!" to the comfort of "Awww" with just the turn of a page.

You can start this standalone series with any of the episodes. Just know each brings its own unique flavor to the overall story line

This episode does deal with some sensitive issues (pedophilia, murder, noncon) so if you are sensitive to these subjects you may want to consider that before you delve into this one.

The King and the Kindergarten Teacher: a Sweet Royal Romance by Shanae Johnson

This was a Clean Sweet romance that definitely hits all the right notes.
Esme is a dreamer.
Leo is a realist
He is a king - Country and Duty come first, over everything
She, well she still believes in 'happily ever after', what more is there?

You can't help but share in the magic that is Esme and Leo.
I really enjoyed the different layers to the characters -
Esme was a dreamer. Leo was a father trapped between duty and his own heart. 'Omg' and the prince - I really, really hope he gets his own book. We even had a slightly evil villain (fine he was a stuffy uptight valet but he was still a meanie)
Yes, you knew the ending before you started.
Yes it was all about the dream, the magic -
It is a fairy tale romance

Master of Games by Sienna Snow

Pierce has always had a short fuse on his temper. Only one hand had ever stayed his beast. The same hand that sent him into a rage induced spiral that dramatically changed the course of his life. Now his dynasty is all about the blood and the sweat. The sweet taste of victory occasionally tainted by the salty tears of defeat. His job is to bring the best of the best under the big top magic that is Vegas.
Pierce's character had me on the fence through a large portion of the story. Oh don't get me wrong he is swoon-worthy and I really enjoyed his take no prisoners approach at life. But I can not count the number of times I wanted to smack some sense into him during one of his little tantrums (OK you probably can't call them little). I will admit that by the end he had definitely redeemed himself. Watching him grow emotionally .. Be still my heart <3 br="">
Amelia, she is Greek Royalty by way of marriage. She is a fighter both in spirit and form. She is about to enter a fight that could cost her the one thing she treasures most.
A decade ago Amelia was forced to walk away from the one man who made her heart sing but she took a piece of him with her. Now it was time to come clean and does she have some skeletons in her closet.
Amelia is a powerhouse of a female lead. She doesn't bow to anyone , well there was one exception but that was a long time ago. She found a way to mold herself to appease her in laws but she never forgot who she was.

This was an emotional roller coaster ride from the first page to the last.
Lots of angst, betrayal, loss, redemption - Master has it all and let us not forget the fiery chemistry that was Amelia and Pierce
So many secrets were unveiled and more pieces of the puzzle were put in place.
I have some answers but even more questions! And I can not wait for the next in series. I am thinking Zach is about to have his bluff called.

Promise You by Fabiola Francisco

Fatally Friend- Zoned!!
Franciso weaves such an entertaining and engaging romance with Promise You. Plucking all the right heart string with this perfect score of angst, hope, and self-discovery.

Reese has sworn off relationships with anyone in the music business, and that includes her sexy romantic, caring and oh so scrumpdillyicious best friend Dex. Did I mention he was a talented songwriter and musician?
I have to say I am a bit torn with Reese. She is so determined not to be the recipient of a broken heart that she fails to see she is the cause of it for someone else. I really enjoyed her character but at times I wanted to shake some sense into her! When she finally does give her heart a chance .. Magic
Dex is all the right ingredients for the perfect book boyfriend. His tenacity was a total turn on. His career was just beginning but he knew without his BFF by his side it would not be the life he truly dreamed of. He also knew to love Reese could cost him his dream but sometimes you have to take a chance.
This is a bit of a spin-off from the Rebel Desire gang - A fabulous series if you have not yet had the pleasure. This is a standalone

No Longer Lost by Angel Payne

Taylor and Mac have my vote for couple of the year.
Passion, Romance and Laughter blend perfectly to make this a must read duet.

As a reader, I could actually feel the tension and the passion that seemed to constantly emanates from these two. One minute I found myself rooting for Dr. Clown ("Yeah- hopeless, party of one") the next I wanted to bop the back of his head and yell "What were you thinking?".

Mac took a risk, hoping that Taylor would see beyond the written words he left for her.
But Taylor being, well Taylor, has a hard time with anything that makes her emotionally vulnerable. Circumstances take a bit of a twist in Mac's favor and Taylor conveniently ends up right where he needs her, in his arms. Despite the physical fireworks that are almost a constant between them Mac is only getting brief glimpses behind the wall that protects Taylor's heart. But Mac isn't going to let her tantrums (and hell's bells can that girl stomp the ground with the best of them) and misdirection stop him from getting what he desires. He will get Taylor to trust in him even if it takes every last breath he has -
