Meg is a very very angry woman - you know that saying "he ll has no fury like a woman scorned"?

Meg's picture should be next to that quote.

I was a bit torn with the depth of her anger but when I took a moment to think about it - it made sense. She had spent millennial being twisted and lied to she had no reason to believe otherwise.

Kles, in the beginning, comes off a bit - over the top - egotistical -selfish? Just a few words that roll off the tip of my tongue. The real Herkales does eventually step forward.

Can the truths of the past be uncovered? Plots long since enacted, retracted? Can old wounds be healed? Does Herk even stand a chance?

One of the things I enjoy about Blanco's writing is the psychological aspects of her work, she plays with her readers' minds till we believe that the sky is green and the grass is red.
There are so many fudged up head games within this twisted tale. I myself got lost many a time among the darkened halls of Hades domain.
I enjoyed the unique world-building and the way she gave new definitions to the tales of old.
Meg and Kles put off a heat that makes fire and brimstone look like an arctic pool. There is a friction between them that drew me in from the first Hello to the last glorious ..
