TreacherousTreacherous by Alex Grayson

So much to say
Treacherous tapped into all my emotions
From the angst of humiliation too that weightless feeling that comes from first love 💘

This started out pretty much as the norm for a bully romance.
Parent remarries. Two households combine. New school. New friends. New step-sibling.
And then the story took flight from the pack.
Nothing was the norm.
The characters clicked.
The drama resonated.
I was a goner.

Rylee. She was a sight to behold. She wasn't self-absorbed or over the top and she stood her ground, she took some blows but she got back up and she moved forward.
Oliver - the new step-sibling and a straight-up spoiled little chit. Oliver had no idea what boundaries where. Petulant little thing he was.
Zayden - Intelligent. Honorable. Marshmallow inside with a Bad Boy coating. (yum)
Charles - The new BFF. I am so hoping he gets a story.
She - who I shalt not name. I really really disliked her, firmly believe she needs mental help (I am sure you will agree when you get to it).

Rylee knew she just had to get through the next few months and she would be off to college. She kept that mantra in her head each time they took a turn at knocking her down. She had the biggest heart.
Zayden had so much going on outside of the school halls. He had his own demons to deal with but he knew when lines were crossed and he was man enough to admit it. Oliver was the broken one IMO. He was hurt/angry and Rylee was right she was the only available target for his pain.
This flowed so easily. The characters were not over the top. The drama was something that I could envision. I easily connected to Rylee. The chemistry between her and Z. Nuclear.
I enjoyed the multiple POV.

If you are looking for a bully romance that will drag you into the drama and keep you engaged -
Look no further
Treacherous provided all the feels.

Rutger (Beast Horde #2)Rutger by Cari Silverwood

"This world was full of uncertainties. Worry when things landed in your lap, not before. "
And Cyn has reason to worry!

🛑This is book 2 in the trilogy. It is not standalone.

"No matter how big and strong one might be, feelings existed. Everyone hurt."

I am still a bit mad at Varg. I firmly stand with my belief that he overreacted! I get how he is viewing Cyn's actions but still - Pull your head out and take a moment to look at the whole picture -you big meanie!
Cyn did what came as instinct and everyone was so quick to judge and turn on her.
Easier to destroy what we don't understand.
Yeah, I'm a bit mad, at Willow as well.

I don't want to give spoilers a lot happens in this episode. Some good, some sad, some pretty fricking on the edge 'OMG' heart in my throat moments.
Want to toss in here that we get to meet some new characters. One whom I like a whole lot. He is a rock-solid kind of guy.

The journey for our little heroine is only getting tougher both physically and emotionally. As secrets are revealed and the enemy finds new ways to get smarter (this is awesome by the way!) things take a drastic turn and not for the better.
I am eager to see what happens next

Love Walks In (Bliss Cove, #1)Love Walks In by Nina Lindsey

This was such a sweet read. Small town meets Big city.
A little bit of suspense a lot of feels and a bundle of romance all come together to create the purrfect storm.

Hunter is the businessman determined to stay on top. Cold and calculating. Ruthless. Always above (yes even physically) the noise and commotion of common folk. Until he ends up in a small town B&B, on the ground floor.
There is a storm brewing outside his window, one that might well change the direction of his life.

Aria is the dreamer, the baby of the family. Always in the shadows of her siblings' accomplishments, never quite feeling good enough.
Until the night she ran through the rain chasing an escaped dream only to find herself surrounded by a wall of a glowering man.

Hunter is there to convince the shop owners of Mariposa street to sell out to his company. It's for the good of the town after all. The only problem is he needs the majority vote and one owner fiery little red-headed cafe owner is working strongly against him.
Aria has no intention of selling out even if the man who will oversee the project is the glowering hunk that helped her catch her runaway feline.
As things get closer to the deadline it is not looking so good for the Cafe' but things are not always what they seem.
Can Aria save Mariposa street?
Will Hunter choose his career or the woman who makes him feel alive again?

Once Upon A Wolf (Everafter Academy #1)Once Upon A Wolf by Scarlett Snow

Witch a Werewolf and a Mermaid

I honestly wasn't sure when this popped upped as a recommended read
I am now a bit sorry I waited as long as I did
This was fantasy and fairy tales brought together in a whole new way that was entertaining and engaging and a touch shocking.
The world-building 🌎 was fantastic
The cast quite otherworldly (being very generous here)
I enjoyed the change-up between dark and light (please people this is fiction nothing is politically correct here 🙄 ).
There is a whole lot of darkness going on within the pages of this one.
Ravyn doesn't take smack from anyone she stands firm even if she stands alone. After believing, she may be separated from her sister she decides to switch from the dark side to the light side (she's young don't judge) Turns out she didn't read the fine print.
And let the chaos commence.

There is a lot of subtle clues tossed here and there that are easy to miss. They give possibilities as to who is behind the wolves but some clues hint Red might be playing on a much bigger game board. While believing she is the queen in this little hunt it seemed to me she is really just a pawn and a slight masochist.
But po-ta-to ,pah-ta-to (whatever you get the idea)

As this episode came to a close the big bad wolf had just entered the hunt. Watch your back princesses and princes.
Also, I am currently swinging to the dark side. I would rather hang with the dark as the light seems a bit blinded(?) by their self-importance.

This has all kinds of scenes and beliefs that may be triggers for some or just hard limits for others - just know going in the story requires an open mind

InsolentInsolent by Cynthia A. Rodriguez

Not quite how I remembered Brave - Quite like this version a bit better
The story almost has a dream-like feel to it
Some of the scenes are so vivid others feel raw barley tangible
Love 💘the main characters
Fast-paced and oh so colorful- the crimson kind just to clarify
Moira's is a fiery red-haired whirlwind rising from the horrors that were once her home
and delving straight into the chaos that is Sol.
Sol's attention is captured by the vexing little thing that is Moira
she should be fearing him, pleading for his mercy
instead she is taunting him with her lack of emotion.
Not one to turn down a challenge
he is going to keep her - just for a bit -
just to break her -
it's not like he is going to keep her forever
or is suffering from those pesky things called emotions.
Oh the lies we spin

I enjoyed that our heroine was just as touched as our hero.
Heck, she might even be a tad more twisted IMO.
These two are explosive together. The tension between them bleeds off the pages.
I am a bit curious about his 'best friend' and his past -
I always want more when it comes to the tortured hero and their sidekick.
Another great addition to the Sinister collection.

Break You (Boys of Trinity Hall, #1)Break You by M.V. Ellis

Two pasts that once crossed but never touched
One intertwined destiny that would irrevocably change their lives forever

It began with hope - just a few words on the back of a snapshot
But it was enough to give Rocky an indestructible strength that would last her a lifetime. Guided by an ingrained sense of right and wrong crafted from exposure to the darker side of humanity she promised herself she would do it on her own - She would do it the right way.
I loved Rocky's take no bull chit approach. She knew fate was a spoilt brat - she had spent a lifetime brushing off her blows.

Xavier was on a mission of revenge and fate couldn't have been more conciliatory if she had done the job herself.
Xavier was a touch misguided IMO at times his tantrums were a bit over the top.

I have to say I did not see that coming!
The chemistry between the two MC's was off the charts.
Each time they interacted together it was explosive - even the smallest moments between them created friction so intense that it singed the pages.
Rocky gave back as good as Xavier dished out

I read this in one sitting - the plot line was easy to follow a few scenes were a bit far fetched but it did not detract from the overall story line.

If you enjoy a slightly twisted bully romance with a heroine that is as tough as nails and a seriously "OH HE LL No" plot spin
This is it
