This is one of those reads that is just an honestly good time.
I don't know how many times my son gave me "the look" because I broke out in laughter.
"How do you put magic into words? It's magic. It works outside of reason and description. "
We even get to watch Mal (from Fluffy) as she bridezillas on her besties.
My side is aching!
Great story line and such a wonderful cast.

Hasty was never one of my favorite characters.
Every series has that one all-knowing self-important family/quasi "not really a friend" friend.
The one that everyone just barely tolerates.
In the do-over series, it is Hastings.
Not that Perky doesn't give her a run for her money, but that is a different story.
I wasn't sure if there was any way to redeem her character. Deflate her ego you could say.
Never should have doubted Kent's gift for writing.
Hastings world of glitter, glam, and name dropping are quite literally dragged out from under her.
*I want to note here that she still holds her head up high completely oblivious of the reality of her situation.
With nothing but her tarnished name, a semi-decent disguise and 700 bucks (thank you Feds) Oh and a, few wheels of cheese (yes there is a story here) she finds herself back home and the true horror for her is just beginning - GASP -
She finds she needs to depend upon others

For the first few chapters, Hastings is still the reigning champion bi*tch.
Slowly as reality sinks in and 10 miles becomes 20 -
she has to admit that she was never truly happy, satisfied.
She never had it all she only thought she did.
And that man who competed with her every move?
Is quite possibly the answer - not the problem
