The MacLeods of Skye series covers four of the siblings.
Rory the clan leader, the spirited Malcolm, the dashing Donnan and the sister Lily.
Each of the stories is an adventure that stands alone yet interconnects with the other books.
I do suggest starting with book one and moving forward.
Each book holds a strong heroine that compliments the man they claim.
And it is the lass' doing the claiming don't let them gents fool ya.

Donnan's Rose was an entertaining read.
It was more on the suspense side with a touch of romance, which I enjoyed.
On occasion I felt the pace slacked a bit, that could have just been my mood or it may have been the author laying some foundation for the series.
Rory's story leaned a bit more emotional? I was angry with how Malcolm responded to Rory's secret but that is just me. Rory never wanted the burden of clan leader but that was who he was.
Malcom used a playboy lifestyle to hide his pain. I was a bit torn with his story. It set him as more irresponsible when it opened and that is far from the truth in the other books. But things have a way of working out.
Then we have our Lily. As I said previously the heroines in this series are not ones to follow the darn decorum or be broodmares, arm candy, or any other nonsense. And Lily is about to show Rory just how untamed and unruly she is.

All in all a relaxing series that has an overall sort of river rhythm to it.
You find yourself cruising along relaxing into the story then suddenly
you are holding your breath as you are rushed through the rapids slammed from all sides by unforeseen antagonists and betrayals.

I've always been a creative individual. Writing is just a facet of that creativity...

My careers in public relations in and around the entertainment industry, photography, editing, artist management, modeling and special event planning all elevated my passion for writing, not to mention gave me a treasure trove for story lines.

I write women's fiction; contemporary romance (as Jamie Salisbury) and historical romance (as JR Salisbury) which is ever evolving. I am fortunate enough that writing (and marketing of said product(s)) is my full-time job, although I always have one or two other projects going at the same time.

I now live in a suburb of Atlanta. Some of my other interests include photography, equestrianism, reading, and of course, travel.

I sincerely hope my writing will entertain, enlighten, and inspire others to pick up the pen and pursue their own dreams. I love to be contacted by readers, writers, and history buffs.
