I couldn't put this down and I am not just saying that I read this in one sitting
Packed with page-turning heart-pumping suspense. And the twists? It was like traveling the Trollstigen. All the white-knuckling was bound by a forever love that broke my heart then pieced it back together again.
HEA? Yes in many ways. A happy for them for now but...
I was gripping my kindle through most of this story. IMO it was more of a romance than a mafia - Don't get me wrong it has all the bloodshed and violence happening in the background but the story truly centers on our two main characters. We do a bit of time travel as the story is in the here and now but we go back and visit the moments and events that triggered the current mess everyone finds themselves in.
And one of the little surprises?
Sooooo saw it coming
But that betrayal???
Holy Crimson River 😳
And the ending?
I need the next in series now!
