This can easily be read as a standalone - I know because I dropped into this series at this point 🤗 I will also warn you that after you finish Linnzi and Nolan's story you will be wanting to dive into everyone else's as well
I need a few moments to dry my eyes and sort out all the feels I just experienced.
Honestly, I felt like I was there in the scene with them
Nolan and Linnzi had (have) that once in a lifetime love -
They were each other's person the one -
That compliments you
Knows you inside and out,
Laughs at your quirky,
Embraces your wrath,
Accepts your limitations
All without judgment
Until a tragedy wiped it all away
Nolan's character was so vivid, full of life. He held out hope even when most would have long given up. He moved forward with his life but still managed to keep Linnzi in his world. I hated how he blamed himself but I appreciated the way he atoned for his perceived sins. I admit I laughed and cried at his stalking. That had to be so hard.
Linnzi's accident left her without certain sections of her life.
Selective memory loss - Her mind's way of protecting her from the emotional trauma of her accident.
Two things stood out beyond the haze:
1- Paris was calling her and
2- Somewhere out there a man held her heart. A man who visited her dreams at night but lay just outside her conscience touch during the day.
After 8 years of running (yes she was running) Linnzi decides to face her past and uncover the truth around her accident
