Description:
He rescued me from one tower only to lock me in another.
Cristiano Grigori hates me because of who I am. What my brothers did. As if I had anything to do with that. I was only ever a pawn to them.
Now I’m Cristiano’s pawn. The ring he put on my finger marks me as his. At least it wards off my enemies.
Cristiano is used to having his way. He made it clear that I belong to him. And something about the way he looks at me makes me want to.
But I have to keep a level head when it comes to my captor. I have to think about my little brother. He’s the only family I have left and Cristiano knows I’ll do anything to keep him safe. Even if it means sleeping in the bed of my enemy.
Our Thoughts 💭:
Here... take my heart ❤ or what's left of itI thought book one stole my breath
Knight outdid herself with I Thee Take
I swear for the final 10 or so chapters my jaw was clenched
My shoulders were hunched trying to curl into myself - to hide from the horrors
I had a death grip on my kindle
The blows kept coming
One after another
Betrayal after Betrayal
And for what?
Hold on Fury - Fight - Fight with everything you have
Dante - please pull your head out of your southern area! Think!
Noah - I look forward to your story
And Cristiano -
You, my bull-headed single-minded neanderthal, are running out of lives!
You know the truth - stop ignoring it!
Note to those of you who crawled back into the woodwork thinking this was over -
He is coming for you
My suggestion?
Take the pill 💊 before he finds you
What a way to bring this couple full circle
The chest squeezing moments of loss
The edge of your seat suspense
The pulse-pounding twists
This is a dark mafia romance whose characters will stay with you long, long after you close the pages

Destroyed With You by J. Kenner
Who do you trust?
After the death of his wife, Winston was going through the motions just existing not truly living. He blamed himself for her death.
Linda (Michelle ) was a chameleon. She had her secrets, reasons that she felt justified her "untimely" death. It was for the best she had to believe that.
Years later thrown together by a betrayal that neither could have foreseen they find their pasts have finally caught up with them.
All those half-truths and deceptions done in the name of the greater good have come to light.
Not sure who is to be trusted they comprise and agree on a middle ground.
For now.
Both weary
Both needing the trust of the other to uncover the traitor
The problem with being a curator of duplicity is when you finally tell the truth
No one believes you
This was an amazingly even blend of suspense and action wrapped up in a heartfelt second chance romance
Winston never questioned his heart. Sure, he was weary and tentative if his heart was in control or his head.
But either way, he was all in.
He knew she was still the moon to his stars.
Linda provided a strong front she knew she had hurt Winston but she felt like her choices were the right ones. She had hurt all those years as well. Now she had a chance to make things right.
The chemistry between them had an almost IDK primal-
like oxygen to life - feel.
They were meant to be
Just took them some time to get it right
Wait till you get to the double double-cross
Don't worry it ends on a happy for now 😘
This is part of a series that can easily be read as a standalone.

Reign of Night by Emily Goodwin
Hang on tight our sweet little accidental Queen of Hell Callie is about to trip and fall into a bit of trouble
Yes, I know nothing new there but Ohh the adventure and fun of it all!
This is book seven in the series and you need to start from the beginning - Don't worry it is well worth the journey!
I fell in love with this series instantly and it has only gotten better as it has progressed
A strong heroine that is a bit of a magnet for trouble - don't fear she has a smexy vampire and an overprotective angel or two to assist her as well as her familiar, a witch and ... (you get it)
Lots of action and adventure
She and Lucas are one of my top fave couples. The chemistry between them - HADES below!
Great supporting characters
Strong storylines that keep you engaged and entertained
A must-read series for fantasy/paranormal fans

Reign of Night by Emily Goodwin
Description:
We’ve all done things we regret in a moment of desperation, but declaring myself Queen of Night takes the cake, especially when I didn’t actually mean it. Sit on the Throne of Hell, commanding—and controlling—thousands of demons who have a bid going on my head? No thank you. I’ll pass.
Except I’m not sure I can. Without a ruler, Hell has gone to, well, hell. The demons are growing restless, and it won’t take long before one decides to do something drastic—and fatal, not just for me but for all of humanity.
As if preventing the world from imploding wasn’t enough, the group of vampires trying to destroy Lucas strike with a vengeance, and they’ve teamed up with a very unlikely alley. They’re determined to not only hurt me, but all of witchkind by exposing us to the world.
They should have known better than to try and cross me twice. Throw me to the wolves and I’ll come back leading the pack.

My Beautiful Neighbor by Piper Rayne
Quick notes:
1st- I will never view charades the same again (I laughed 🤣 so hard)
2nd - The cover (beautiful as it is) IMO did not do this story justice
What a wonderful way to start a series. This was a slow build romance with lots of feels.
Solid characters both main and supporting that were easy to connect with
Presley is an outsider and in a small town like Sunrise Bay where the gossip mill responds faster than lightening -
Everyone wants to know who she is and why she looks so familiar.
Presley isn't sure what she wants
She needs to meet her past and decide her future and...
Well, a small taste of Cade is sounding a bit appetizing at this point
Turns out she is going to get a lot more of Cade and the Greene family than she could have foresaw
A sweet, at times LOL, small-town romance that has all the push and pulls that comes from miswording's, misstepping's, and misunderstandings
- and that isn't the only misses happening
The back and forth between Cade and Presley was so spot on - it all made sense IDK it didn't feel like contrived angst
The grandmas had me rolling - definitely, a take no prisoners bunch
Just an all-around light-hearted feel that entertained and delighted
Looking forward to the next as this ended with a HEA and set up a bit of a bomb for the next book
My Beautiful Neighbor by Piper Rayne
Description:
Who’s the mystery woman who just walked into my brewery?
I’m not the only one from my Alaskan small town asking themselves that question. But I’m positive, I’m the only one in Sunrise Bay undressing the pretty blonde in my head. Everything about her, from her make-up to her high heels says she’s a fish out of water.
Whispers and speculations run rampant until the secret of who she is gets uncovered. Then the rumor mill goes into overdrive when she announces she’s staying to open a bookstore in the building next to mine—throwing a big wrench into my plans to buy that empty building.
I quickly find myself in a tug-of-war since my business partner/brother is upset she’s ruined the opportunity to expand our business. I try to keep my distance, but I’ve got one sister with a gossip column on the local radio station and two meddling grandmas setting me up as a tour director.
And now I kind of like the idea of our new neighbor staying. But small-town life isn’t for the weak—time will tell if she has what it takes to be one of us.
Our Thoughts 💭:

Miscreants by Natalie Bennett
I missed the Badlands
Missed the mayhem
The madness
The marauding
Missed Malum
Lilith has always been Samael's and things have not changed just grown a touch. Lilith feels like she is second in his life - Like he is keeping her cloistered like a puppy only brought out occasionally for entertainment -
fed and cared for
healthy but not happy
Lilith - in a scorn woman moment of thought - sets out to free herself and being the martyr she is, Samuel, from the destructive course of their relationship (Yes I am laughing just a little here)
Saying things do not go so well would be a gross understatement
Now all she can do is pray to Santana because she has a feeling that this time Malum may not be able to protect her
Little Lilith should know her Malum will paint the Badlands crimson before he loses his treasure
She is his - always has been
And he is hers
She is about to see how true that is
This is part of a series, second-generation, and you need to read the series to fully understand the character dynamics and the storyline
I was so ecstatic to be back with some of my favorite people
Sam and Lil needed their story to be told in full - we knew some of the past and how they got where they are but this filled in all the missing pieces as well as brought the past and the future together more than metaphorically
This is a graphic dystopian novel - you know survival of the fittest - everyone is equal
The copy I read was an ARC still in editing
Miscreants by Natalie Bennett
Description:
Love is madness.
Love is anguish.
Ours was ill-fated from the beginning.
Crazier than crazy.
Sicker than sick.
Samael was the epitome of a beautiful nightmare. Together, we were poetry. The kind that bled and wept, a mess of euphoric bliss and heartbreak.
I promised I’d be by his side until the bitter end, but after far too long I needed to be free of him.
Leaving would be one of the hardest things I’d ever done.
He’d come after me, of that I was sure. Many would lose their lives, becoming casualties in our war.
When this was all said and done, our story would be whispered in darkened corners for years to come.
A tale of a wolf pursuing a lamb, but with a masochistic twist.
For even lambs have teeth, and this one bites back
Our Thoughts 💭:

Sin of Silence by Nikita Slater
Like maybe how he just "happened" to pick a doctor who knows SL?
How he happens to have a plan to "save" her life -
Sure he is the reason she is in the predicament but still seems a bit convenient, Yes?
Shaun, in the beginning, had me doing the back and forth when it came to her character. She is smart and well-developed. Just a bit ping pongy in the beginning. In one scene she was like a terrier with a bone - She knew her chances were slim so she wasn't backing down. The next she seemed to capitulate a bit too easily.
But when it came to Jozef and his desire for her I can see where there was no going back.
I have to admit this started out a bit on the far-fetched fantasy side and I wasn't sure if I would be able to enjoy it. But soon I found myself captivated by the characters and the storyline which was full of action, betrayal, a bit of bloodletting, and a whole lot of relationship building (which at times was pretty explosive). After a couple of chapters, I found myself rooting them on, wanting to slap some sense into them and hoping for their HEA
And since this is the first in the series
Yep, it ends on a cliffy .....
Sin of Silence by Nikita Slater
Description:
Immerse yourself in a Sinner’s Empire with International Bestselling Author, Nikita Slater’s, brand new mafia romance trilogy.
Loyalty. Pride. Family.
These are the only values that matter to the mafia.
Jozef is both nephew and enforcer to the Koba crime family. He is ruthless, brutal, and completely loyal to his family. Shaun is a doctor working in the Ukraine with Doctors Without Borders. She’s logical, kind, and honest. Shaun has been trained on how to deal with hostage situations, but nothing prepares her for Jozef or the life he’s forcing her into.
From the operating room to an opulent glittering ballroom and a forced engagement, Shaun is wildly out of her depth, swimming in shark-infested waters. Every step she takes is monitored and the man who kidnapped her watches her like a feral dog preparing to strike.
In a deadly game of sink or swim with her life on the line, Shaun has no choice but to give her heart to a killer or become another victim of organized crime.
Our Thoughts 💭:
