(yes that is my opinion lol)
And I think I also just added to my suspect pool maybe even reinforced who I had my eyes on earlier
This opens a little after we left off in book one and does not disappoint -
Suspense - Romance- Betrayal
None stop heart-racing action from the start to the edge of the cliff
The chemistry between Beau and Jane just gets more volatile - Beau can't seem to be able to let go of past mistakes - even if he was not responsible
Jane believed his words
Neither is right and both are about to experience true loss
As things unravel and the past comes to light Beau has to ask if he can protect Jane

They are perfect together!
That underlying chemistry that crackles between them but doesn't quite catch was tangible for the first half of the story
When it finally did spark - INFERNO!
When we love someone we do what we believe is best for them -
No, it isn't always the right thing for them but the heart and the head are truly two different organs
In this situation, I get why Lincoln did what he did and I can say I would have done the same thing.

Let the games begin.
This was a fun blend of stumbling bumbling finding oneself, friendships, humor (lots of humor), romance (that steamy tension that smolders between the characters just waiting for a spark to ignite it), and that necessary bit of angst to remind them why taking a chance is so important.
Between the lines was an easy to follow story with a cast that I was able to almost instantly connect with and a HEA that will leave you with all the feels

So when Ricci finds him suddenly eyeing her like his next meal - after they have been acquaintances for a couple of years - She can't help but question exactly what his motives are.
And Tibb's can't turn down a challenge especially one as tempting as Ricci.Let the games begin.

Jump ahead three years and a whole lot of avoidance later and our couple find themselves in a position to enjoy the benefits without the "emotions"
