Yes she does finally see the light and I do have to give her some leeway as she is 19 and has been "protected" by her brother so her responses to IDK "outside stimuli" are not honed
(yeah I am laughing )
Truly though she has her own bag of guilt that she needs to put away -
which she eventually does and the little fighter she finds underneath it all

Ryder on the other hand is all caveman on her backside.
I wish we had gotten more one on one time with him -
We do get his POV throughout the story and a lot of his background
(some serious tears and tissue moments)
- just me being greedy
Props to the Horsemen for the way he guarded the castle
Probably one of the best scenes - a bit of food for thought
This is a standalone steamy om/yw romance -
heavy on the steam - light on the dark
For those excited about the coming horseman release,
this gives some more background as this is Octavius' sister and Ryder's love story -
who just happens to be a McAlister -
this adds a bit of back story as well

V.F.Mason always loved reading books and had quite a few fights with her momma over the genre she liked (romance, duh!) She studied filmmaking and thought that would feed her desire for stories, but that didn’t happen. Finally, when she was tired of all those voices in her head, she sat down and wrote a book. It was a huge decision to make and she thanks her friends and family for supporting her in it.
