Loved the chemistry between Van and Julia
Usually, I'm not big on instant chemistry
But this?
This worked so seamlessly
I was captivated by Van he has an air of mystery to him but the way he gave Julia 100% ...

Julia was such a strong female lead. She had had enough and walked away. Time to find the real Julia.
I liked the slow reveals -
How she finally was seeing her life as it was viewed by outsiders
Her own perceptions having been slightly skewed
Skylar is a snake 🐍
Mom... I am not sure about her, to be honest. I don't know if she is just that controlling, maybe slightly dense, or if she has a side agenda

But it also put the pieces back together

They are an example of love personified - plain and simple
This does deal with some topics that I believe are going to hit a chord for a lot of people
But with the angst also comes the moments that help to heal the wounds

The first couple chapters are spent getting to know the main characters. Reece who is a self-proclaimed forever single man, heck he doesn't even risk getting his toes wet. Some of the town folk, his family, the not living there stalker across the ...
Nice try
While we are slowly settling into the small-town life we also become aware something doesn't feel right. We begin to question the simplest of hellos, the strange car, reality.
Like the previous book, the littlest slip could SPOIL the entire story, and I am not risking ruining it.
There are secrets, betrayals, revelations, and romance
There is suspense, blood, pain, torture, horror
It is a very dark thriller - It takes the reader into the mind of a truly insane killer. No punches are held here.
At the same time, there is the development of a beautiful romance one I as a reader was wholly invested in
Just know going in this leans towards horror during many scenes, it will test the resolve of even the strongest of dark romance lovers
In the end?
It was worth the white-knuckling, blood pounding heart-racing anxiety with each page I turned

Jed was Mr. Stoicism for about 5 seconds - then Paige won him over - quite literally
This story also gave me a whole new perspective of Satan and his progeny - Again Absolute AB buster lol

Action and Suspense -
A bit of mystery -
And the oddest romance that made absolute sense!
I popped into this series with this book and I missed a lot of what got us to where we were -
I will be rectifying that this week
Still, I was easily able to follow this couple's heroic adventures and am happy to have found a new author and series
