Maddie is a thinker -
Where once she was good with social cues but easily got caught up in the how's and why's - Now she seems completely unaware of "friendly cues" or maybe she just chooses to ignore them when they are inconvenient to her emotions and finds hiding behind her logic easier - yeah I think it is the latter
Either way, watching her slowly let go - investing herself in the here - letting her inner desires take the reigns - was satisfying in so many ways
Deke had walked away from her when they were young - he did it with her future in mind - one of those things you regret throughout life - Now though she is in trouble and she has asked him for his help. This time he is not sacrificing his heart - He is taking what is his and nothing and no one is going to get in his way - That includes the beautiful stubborn beauty kneeling at his feet.
Action-packed - Smexy as Hades D/s - Lots of twists - and the ending OMG Soooo did not see that reveal as even a remote possibility
