I was a bit weary when I went into this one It is a full-length novel and a new author for me I am glad I took the leap of faith Packed with action and adventure, suspense, betrayal, twists, unique spins, and romance Pauline is slightly "abnormal" - but she has somewhat learned to work around her gift or with it I guess since she has decided to go into paleontology - she's a walking talking treasure detector why not use the skills you were born with and all that Though with her unique gift there comes a price - a few actually One of the harder ones for Pauline is the inability to connect with others - being lonely Until graduation when the handsome Grey takes a sudden interest in her Things are looking up as Pauline and Grey begin their partnership Both professionally and physically Until someone else appears Until secrets are slowly exposed Until choices must be made Ones that could cost lives This is a full length read with solid character building - It was easy to love or loathe them - though I did find myself on the fence a couple of times - They each brought something to the story - not just cannon fodder An engaging storyline - there are little hints that things are not as they appear on the surface but you get just enough information to keep you on edge and guessing - NO peeking All set in a unique and vivid world that kept me entertained and turning pages
