INTERVIEW with AUTHOR Pandora Pine
Tell us a little about yourself.
I live in the same Massachusetts town I was born in. I’ve been a self-published MM author since August of 2015 with over eighty titles to my name.
What would people be most surprised to know about you?
I am an amateur nature photographer
How long have you been writing and what made you fall in love with writing?
I’ve been writing since middle school, but really got into writing McKirk fanfic back in 2013. I had a friend who wanted to try self-publish who encouraged me to give it a shot too.
Did you always want to be a writer?
Yes! I’ve literally- haha – hated every other job I’ve ever had in my life.
What are your ambitions for your writing career?
I want my words to bring others joy.
What’s your favorite part of writing?
All of it! I love the planning, research, plotting, writing, rewriting and editing. There is nothing else in the world I would rather do than all of the above!
Tell us about your writing style.
Since my guys are the ones driving the bus, they decided if we’re planning or pantsing. My last book was pantsed. This one is planned.
When/where is your favorite time/place to write?
There’s nothing I love more than sitting outside on a warm, sunny day with a notebook and pen writing longhand with no distractions other than the birds singing.
Why did you choose to write LGBT romance/fiction?
My guys come to me and ask to have their stories told. They drive the bus. I’m along for the ride.
Do you write any other genre?
I wrote my first FF book which is due to be published in early 2023.
Which actor would you like to see playing the lead character from your most recent book?
Ronan O’Mara was based on Scott Eastwood and his husband Tennyson Grimm is based on Kit Harington, Jon Snow from Game of Thrones. I’d love to see the two of them in these roles.
What genre/s do you enjoy reading in your free time?
I read a lot of World War II women’s fiction about the French Resistance. Women who were spies, who forged documents and helped downed pilots escape to safety. I love strong female characters.
How do you relax?
I love streaming anything Star Wars, RuPaul’s Drag Race, and true crime.
What hobbies do you have outside of writing?
I love taking my camera out to take pictures of birds and animals. I also love to travel. I’ve gotten so many great ideas from being out and about in our amazing world.
