These characters had me so torn

Declan stole my heart the moment he asked to dance

The supporting cast was just as endearing

I fell in love with them and their partners almost instantly

It was that feeling of family they shared

It was Jade I had trouble with - She was so enigmatic at times

She was a touch too focused on her desires- laser focused -

To the detriment of her fiance', family, and friends

They were becoming collateral damage

Things slowly began to unravel and her carefully crafted world fell apart

Thankfully her friends stepped in with a plan to help

That plan was in the form of one very perfect Declan

Eventually, she saw the "error" of her ways but for me, it was too little too late -

Or maybe because I really liked Declan and wanted him for myself?

Everything happens pretty quickly here - fast-paced

Which didn't give me the chance to connect as much as I would have liked with the characters

Overall though I liked the read and enjoyed the characters
