Deliver by Pam Godwin

Deliver is dark right from the gate and it stays on that dimly lit path through much of the story line.
There is so much to this story line -
Each of the characters has a strong force driving them to either hold on to hope or succumb to the evils that reside within them to just feed their darkness
The story stays steady in the beginning we are given in-depth looks at the characters how they got where they are and how things are supposed to play out. I had a bit of trouble immersing myself in the story line at first but as the story progressed I found myself trapped within its pages and needing to know, at times with almost an unhealthy desperation, what was around the next corner? Did she survive? Did he break? Where is she? Why? The suspense began to build - one surprise and twist after another - even with the closing scene I was still holding my breath
Liv
She picks - trains and delivers what the buyer requests
Just like picking out a thoroughbred horse -
She researches the "animal" that will best fit her client's needs - she plans out the "acquisition" and transport - she decides how she is going to break and train the new pet and then she delivers him/her to the buyer - Simple-Easy
Until it isn't
Liv is such a complicated character I don't want to give spoilers but by the end of this story I understood her a bit better
Josh is the virgin bible toting going to save the world sexy well-built quarterback - I know a rare mix - I did have a bit of trouble connecting with his character in the beginning but by about 40% he had me
Van is just scary - There is not a lot I can say about him, but I would not at any time in my life want his "attention" turned towards me
Mr. E just makes my skin crawl - I have so many questions regarding him

Ravenous Innocence by Myra Danvers

For those who enjoy the fantasy genre, this is a must read!
The story line is very complex but well thought out and highly engaging- Action, Suspense, Magic, lots of Mayhem and even a bit of Angst
This is not an easy read - This is an elaborate story line with complex characters - perfect for those who enjoy being transported to another realm when they read
The author has created an ornate and detailed universe that allows for so much potential and growth in future releases
My understanding is this is a new author all around - IDK - I do know this is a first in series so it has a lot of world building and character development in the beginning -
I enjoyed the universe that Danvers created for Ravenous Innocence - There is a lot of little details that I did not catch the first time that greatly impacts the hows and whys of the story line
The characters - being a first in series we are introduced to a lot of major players - some we get to know very intimately - others we are given just enough information to form an opinion about them but we know they are going to play a bigger role in future releases
Mila is our lead female she has spent her life living in a bubble of safety and at the beginning of the story I wanted to knock her juvenile entitled poor me arse into next Tuesday - I confess I am glad I gave her some time to grow- her character slowly develops as the story line progresses in a way I appreciate as a reader - it was not a sudden "oh look at me all adulting" -She still carries that naive bratty air about her but she is learning from her mistakes and with each painful lesson she is maturing emotionally
Asher - I want to know a lot more about him - we are given so few clues except he is strong with Ki and very very dangerous and he wants Mila for nefarious reasons (he is the sexy anti-hero) though he does promise she will want for nothing- Liar
I will be reading this book a second time (which I do not mind with series such as this) as I believe that it will flow even smoother and I will pick up a lot of smaller but important clues I missed the first time
Fantasy/Paranormal is my genre and Danvers is definitely going to be added to my shelves as a must read author

Dead of Night by Emily Goodwin

What an absolute blast!
Paranormal/Fantasy is my go-to genre. There is just something magical about it and the possibilities are endless.
Dead of Night is one of those journeys into the realm of fantasy that has all the right ingredients for that perfect series.
Kick arse heroine and a Sexy hero
Action - Suspense - Mystery
And a supporting Cast that is out of this world.
Callie is such a blast! I enjoy heroines that are intelligent and witty. Who knows how to kick arse yet can still show a softer side. Her character is shrouded in mystery, we are given hints but nothing concrete. I have so many questions.
Then we have Lucas, he kinda fell into the story line (no really he just waltzed in) but he fits perfectly. For him, Callie is a breath of fresh air, a chance to remember what it was like to wake each dawn wondering what new adventures awaited him.
These two together are explosive. Their romance has that sweetness with just the perfect edge of "yummy"
This is a first in series so we get to meet the cast (loving her BFF's Really disliking the fam) and are given a vague glimpse of what is to come -
Yes this ends with an HFN
Yes we are left with all kinds of open-ended subplots and unanswered questions (hello Series people)

Misadventures in a Threesome by Elizabeth Hayley

I adore Scooter something fierce! She just grabs life by the horns and goes for it
She ends up working at Transform Gym with owners Mad and Wild (yes they actually do live up to their names)
Wild has a bit of a streak in him - a lot like Jaz actually and Mad is more 'careful' his world is controlled.
The three of them click right from the start. After an evening of celebration, Jaz finds that she has feelings for both men and believes that together they all fit - like a puzzle - they are perfect for each other.
But the guys have other ideas and it definitely is not sharing a girlfriend.
Can Scooter prove to them that they are a perfect trio?
This was such a fun and entertaining addition to the Misadventures series.

The Missing Ingredient by Marika Ray

What a perfect blend of personalities and story line - There was not a Missing Ingredient to be found anywhere!
Austin is a blast! He had me from start
and Elle - There were a couple of times I wanted to knock her down a peg or two but as the story progresses you see the inner workings of her mind and a lot of her behaviors become more acceptable (she was a bit prissy in the beginning, IMO)
A charming story line that is refreshing and engaging mixed with the most delightful cast of characters
This is one of those feel-good romances that has the perfect blend of comic, angst, and romance

Violent Delights by Jessica Hawkins

This was a new to me author and being a first in series I felt it was the perfect time to jump in and test the waters
Violent Delights opened with a bang, literally capturing my curious nature right from the start and closed leaving my inquisitive nature dangling off a cliff (yes it is a cliffhanger but ohhhh so worth it!)
The story is mostly from Natalia's POV we do get a chapter or two where Cristiano and Diego get their voice in - This worked perfectly with the story line as both of them seemed to hold secrets that IMO may be game changers.
I do not want to give out any spoilers as Hawkins crafted such a delicate timeline of events dotted with small clues (I almost missed one I actually went back a bit when I rethought a characters wording)

I definitely recommend this if you enjoy a touch of suspense and a bit of mystery in your romance, let us not forget the sexy leading man. Yes, I have chosen sides but I know this could change as events unfold in book two. Even if the whole love triangle thing (which it is but it isn't) is not your cup of tea. The story line and the cast make this an entertaining and engaging read that you do not want to pass up.
