Ace Henderson comes from the wrong side of the tracks and has worked for every success in his life. Why should he think his relationship with Robby would be any different?

 EXCERPTS
Excerpt 1:
I groaned but followed him willingly into the bedroom. I felt happier than I’d been in a long time. Happier than when we’d first gotten together. I’d never forgotten that first kiss. It had been a long time coming. I laughed at how hard we had tried to keep our lips off each other, not to mention our hands.
Touching your partner is normal in a volleyball match. A high five. A quick hug. A shoulder bump. You had to keep motivated and in the game, and that contact helped. But it became a different sort of game for Ace and me. Every touch sent zings of electricity through my body and woke my dick up. It was the same for Ace, and by the time that first kiss did actually happen, we knew two things. We had to have each other. And we couldn’t play together. As much as I’d fought it. Ace had been right, and I’d known it all along.
I picked Ace for my life. It had been more important than losing him on the sand. It was worth it.
I took his hand and slid against his tall, lean frame. “Remember those last few games we played together?”
“Robby, don’t—”
“No, I’m not fighting anymore. Morgan is great. I’m talking about the electricity between us. I’m talking about how when you moved, I reacted. How every touch was like a promise...”
Ace grabbed my chin gently between his fingers. “I love you. I chose you. Always. You’re my forever.”
“Don’t say things like that unless you mean them.”
“I mean it.” He kissed me hard before I could answer him. Before I caught on, he had pushed me down onto the bed. I didn’t argue. “I love you.”
“I love you, too.”
Ace’s kisses trailed down my throat, and he licked inside the collar of my shirt. “This has to come off.” It didn’t take long for both of us to undress.
Our bodies rubbed together as we writhed against each other. I knew every inch of him. Knew what he liked. We’d been together long enough to use that as an advantage, but not long enough to get stale. I didn’t think Ace in my bed would ever grow stale, though.
I loved the way he touched me, rubbing over my shoulders and back.
I found the little divot in his lower back with my fingers.
He leaned up and flicked my nipple with the tip of his tongue.
This was our rhythm. How we played, every point between us.
“I want you,” Ace whispered.
“I’m yours.”

Excerpt 2:
“Is Chris going to find someone or not? I’m worried about this.”
“Now you’re worried?” Robby rolled his eyes like the brat he was. “I’ve been worried since day one when you decided we weren’t playing together anymore.”
“We decided.”
“Whatever.” We both knew it wasn’t what Robby wanted, but it was necessary. “Anyway, he says he has someone flying in later this week. Nothing else I can do.”
I pulled a stiff Robby in my arms, knowing how to stroke his ego.  Leaning closer so Drake wouldn’t overhear, I whispered, “Seems like what you have going on here is more about helping this newbie rather than keeping you in shape. I mean, come on...”
Robby burst out laughing. “I had to do something. Unless you want to take over.”
The type of playing I wanted to do wasn’t for a sand court. Especially not one out in front of Cove Club. I wouldn’t give the privileged, elite assholes a second of anything they could use to gloat over me. I’d spent my life scraping and fighting for everything I had. I found a talent that totally resonated with me and worked on it endlessly. To be better than them. To earn a place and know the pride of working for it.
A big part of that had become Robby, and I had certainly enjoyed playing with Robby—we were unbeatable. None of that was worth risking our relationship. I loved Robby off the court more than anything. I loved everything about him. Even that he came from the uptight, self-absorbed gentry I hated. Robby wasn’t like that. When we’d met, he’d been a spoiled kid who had everything except the one thing he most needed—me. And the love I gave him.

Excerpt 3:

“Come on! I love you. All you did was bitch about not having a partner, begging me to be your partner, but when you finally get a good one?” I threw my hands up in frustration. “This shit. You’re being over dramatic about everything.”
Robby walked into the living room and sat on the edge of the couch. He put his hands in his lap and took a deep breath. “You’re right. I know. This is all so hard. It’s not supposed to be this damn hard, is it?”
“No one said it would be easy. But you’ve got this.” I knew he had it in him to be a champion. I hated that he doubted himself, especially when it was my fault.

NOTE: I have that line “I knew he had it in him to be a champion.” on one of my promos also.  I’ll include it when I email in case I didn’t send it before – maybe a couple other teasers – can’t remember what I’d sent.

A couple small clips:

I had no idea how I’d won Robby’s heart, but now that I had it, I wasn’t about to lose it.

“I’m talking about how when you moved, I reacted. How every touch was like a promise...”

When we’d met, he’d been a spoiled kid who had everything except the one thing he most needed—me. And the love I gave him.

There was nothing I hated more than having to play against Robby.

My body was already tingling with anticipation. We were made for each other. Everything he did turned me on, and I never failed to elicit the same reaction from him.
