A touch embarrassed to admit this, but I was so lost in the final scene that it took a moment to realize that the "thank you" wasn't the writing on her shirt but the author's parting words -
I had come to the end of the scene ...
this ends on a cliff hanger by the way 🤦♀️
I mentioned previously that it is the quiet ones that harbor the darkest desires and Holly only reinforces that statement in book two. She is such a little spitfire.
At first glance, she is Ms. Prim and Proper but dammmmmn that girl is a cat.5 hurricane under the pleated skirts and bookish manor.

Well if you are looking to keep her forever, willingly, might I suggest losing the duct tape? Just a thought. I could be wrong though after watching you two together. ♨️
Elijah, for me, is a bit multi-faceted (?) He is rough around the edges, not very social, and doesn't understand boundaries. While at the same time his complete devotion to and need of Holly is off the charts 💥
London? Sweet girl - Complete mess
Adam? Smexy but full of secrets. Extremely dangerous. Still not sure if he is friend or foe?
LC Jefferson? Short a lot of bricks in his stack and completely off his rocker! Danger Will Robinson!
This second installment is chocked full of twists, revelations 🤯 , betrayals, and one hotter than Hade's romance (one thing Elijah and Holly are not lacking. Every time they are within orbit of one another the spark that burns between them becomes an inferno.)
